The Mommy Makeover sounds like it involves several procedures. Does that require general anesthesia?
The Mommy Makeover does NOT require general anesthesia. In most cases, there is no problem with performing it with local anesthesia and a little sedation to make you relaxed. That being said, I find a majority of my patients would rather be asleep. The Mommy Makeover generally involves a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) with liposuction of the flanks in combination with a Breast rejuvenating procedure: either Breast Augmentation with an implant to replace lost volume or a breast lift (Mastopexy) or both (Augmentation-Mastopexy). I find that this is a real game-changer for women and totally gives my patients a great shot in the arm in terms of self-confidence and feeling healthy and great all over.
