I read recently that BOTOX can be used to treat hyperhydrosis. How effective is it as a treatment, and does your office offer these services?
Botox definitely can help treating hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating. The Botox acts to stop the nerve from stimulating sweat not just under the arms, but on hands, feet, and other areas of the body. We offer it in our office because we have seen how effective it can be. Generally it can last from 3 to 6 months. So the best time to do it is in the early spring.
